Kali Muscle - biography and life path of a prison bodybuilder

O formidable goddess, glorified as the Mother of the World! You are beautiful, O Moon on Shiva’s locks! Blessed are you, O Primordial Energy and source of all beings!”

Maha-Kali-Chalisa1

Kali (Sanskrit काली, Kālī - 'dark; time') is a goddess revered as the inexorable force of time, the wife of Shiva. The most powerful form of Shakti, fierce and angry, representing a destructive manifestation of cosmic energy. She is the fierce aspect of Goddess Durga (Parvati). The embodiment of fear, while she herself is outside of it. In Vedic scriptures, the name "Kali" is mentioned as one of the seven flames of Agni, which is the fire of transformation of matter into energy.

Kali is the Mother Goddess, caring and protecting her children from evil forces. Destroying demons and all appearances of evil. Granting liberation from the cycle of rebirth. Protector of the gods. In many sources, Kali is praised as the ultimate reality or the greatest of all deities. She is the personification of cosmic forces, a manifestation of the kinetic energy of Creation, a creative force that sets the Universe in motion, giving rise to Creation, and at the same time a destructive force leading to the end of the world.

Kali is the goddess of Time, a hypostasis of the cyclical nature of existence and the process of changing eras and worlds, life and death. She brings rebirth through death and destruction of old forms. Kali is a manifestation of the Time aspect of Mother Nature. She is the energy of transformation, change and transformation. Kali is a transformative force, but she herself always remains unchanged.

Kali is the destructive force of the Ego, terrifying and crushing selfish tendencies and ignorance. She gets rid of illusions. Its essence is not violence, as can be mistakenly interpreted from images and descriptions of the goddess, but the true grace of Mother Nature.

Kali is a force that absorbs what it previously created, manifesting itself as Time and dissolving in the dark chaos of disorder, Emptiness or primordial energy. She absorbs everything that exists at the end of time. Her attire is space.

The name Kali - etymology

The name Kali (काली, kālī) in Sanskrit is the feminine form of the masculine noun Kala (Sanskrit काल, kāla) - 'time, fate', and represents the nature of Time, its essence and completeness. Since Kala is an epithet of Shiva, meaning “eternal Time,” the name of his wife Kali also means “Time” or “death” (in the sense that time inevitably brings life to an end). The name Kali means that she is the goddess of Time and Change.

Kālī also comes from kāla (Sanskrit काल - 'black, dark, dark blue'). The name Kali, meaning “Black,” indicates the original darkness (and not the opposite of light). Black color, as you know, does not reflect white light, it absorbs it, and, therefore, black does not emit energy, but absorbs it. Like “Black” Kali absorbs energy. Therefore, in this meaning, her name means 'comprehensiveness, completeness'.

Also among the meanings of the name in Sanskrit there are the following translation options: 'defeat, bad luck, sin, suffering, quarrel, discord'

.

It is interesting to note that the identical root bases of the ancient proto-language “kal” and “kol” contain one meaning - kol, circle or wheel of Time. The Wheel of Kala symbolizes the eternal return to the Source. The wheel is also the oldest symbol of the Sun, which was revered by our ancestors.

Names of Goddess Kali

Goddess Kali is also called Kalaratri (Sanskrit: कालरात्रि, Kālarātri - 'black night'), Kalika (Sanskrit: कालिका, Kālikā - 'temporary, lasting over time'), Shyama (Sanskrit: श्या म, śyāma — 'black, black' ), Krishna (Sanskrit कृष्णा, kṛṣṇā - 'black') or Krishnamatra (Sanskrit कृष्णमात्रे, kṛṣṇamātre - 'Mother of Primordial Darkness'). She is also Karalika (Sanskrit: करालिका, karālikā - 'inspiring terror'), Karasya (Sanskrit: करालास्या, karālāsyā - 'possessing a terrifying face'), Kamahartri (Sanskrit: का महर्त्रइ, kāmahartri - 'destroying desires'). She is also Kartri (Sanskrit कर्त्रइ, kartri - 'creative, creating, active force'), Kritya (Sanskrit कृत्या, kṛtyā - 'being the action itself'), Karyakari (Sanskrit कार्यक रइ, kāryakari - 'the power of action that resides in everyone action'). She is Kakini (Sanskrit: काकिनइ, kākini - 'goddess of the fourth yuga'). All 108 names of Goddess Kali

Forms of Kali

Kali is one of the 10 forms or manifestations of Mahadevi, which are called by the Sanskrit term "Dashamahavidya" (Sanskrit: दशमहाविद्या, daśamahāvidyā), literally meaning 'Ten Great Knowledge'. This group of ten tantric goddesses, each of whom is a different aspect of the Mother Goddess. According to the Shiva Purana, Kali is one of the nine forms of Durga (Navadurga).

In various traditions, Kali has 8, 12 or 21 forms, the most famous of which are: Adya-Kali, Chintamani-Kali, Sparshamani-Kali, Santati-Kali, Siddhi-Kali, Dakshina-Kali, Bhadra-Kali, Smashana-Kali, Adharvanabhadra Kali, Kamakala Kali, Guhya Kali, Hamsa Kali and Kalasankarshini Kali. The Mahakala Samhita mentions 9 forms of Kali, including: Dakshina Kali, Shmashana Kali, Bhadra Kali, Guhya Kali, Kala Kali, Kamakala Kali, Dhana Kali, Siddha Kali and Chandika Kali. She is also worshiped in the form of the Great Mother Maha-Kali. Let's look at the most popular forms, especially revered in Bengal, where the cult of the goddess Kali is most widespread.

  • Adya-Kali
    - literally 'Primordial Kali', or the Supreme Power of Shakti of all things.
  • Dakshinakali
is the softest form of Kali, especially revered in India, bestowing good maternal care and protection from misfortunes. "Dakshina" means 'gift' given to the guru for knowledge or to a priest before performing a ritual and rite, also "dakshina" is the 'south' (the cardinal direction ruled by the god Yama, who, according to legend, when he heard the name Kali, ran away in horror ), therefore the meaning of the name Dakshinakali is 'blessing Kali' and 'blessing Kali', as well as 'Mighty Kali, conquering death'.
  • Samhara Kali
, or Vama Kali, is the most terrifying and powerful form of Kali, appearing as the personification of death and destruction, but also as the giver of liberation.
  • Raksha Kali
is a form of Kali worshiped for protection from epidemics and drought.
  • Bhadra-Kali
    - 'Fire-devourer', a fierce and terrible, but beneficial form of Kali, since she acts as the protector of good.
  • Guhya Kali
is the personification of the eternal wisdom of Kali. The terrifying form of a goddess.
  • Siddhi Kali
is a beautiful form of the goddess, bringing spiritual benefits and filling with vitality.
  • Chandika-Kali
is the embodiment of Truth and spiritual wisdom, dissolving obstacles on the Path.

Analysis of the image. Great Khali

Good day, dear wrestling fans. It's not often that wrestlers from distant countries have lifted major WWE titles over their heads, and the renowned giant from India managed to join this cohort. The man left a rich legacy in the federation, so it is worth taking a closer look at his image, which has been sculpted over the years.

1. External image.

The main difference between The Great Khali and the rest of the roster is his height and weight, with which he successfully competed for many years in WWE. The wrestler's arms, legs and face with a massive jaw are especially huge: these are all consequences of acromegaly, with which Dalip Singh was born. He successfully turned the shortcomings that caught his eye in childhood into his advantages, becoming a real curiosity from distant India.

The wrestler's appearance has always been simple - size 48 boots, long pants and a bare torso. This colossus did not require additional attributes to instill fear in its opponents. Let's add here uncut hair, which made the resemblance to the statue of a Hindi god more obvious.

2. Name and nicknames.

The wrestler's name is a reference to Indian mythology. The prefix “Great” has always been given to famous warriors, the memory of whom is passed on from generation to generation. These men have covered their name with numerous victories on the battlefield, and Kali's achievements in WWE fully live up to this criterion. The second part of the name is a bow towards the mother goddess and destroyer rolled into one. Is complete darkness, which absolutely reflects the heel essence of the wrestler. Hence his dark pants, which he wore while he was on the dark side of wrestling.

Although the Great Kali himself was born in neighboring Himachal Pradesh, almost his entire image was built around the province of Punjab. The nickname “Punjabi playboy” was firmly attached to the wrestler after multiple kisses of women of all stripes in WWE, of which the legendary punch in the gums with Beth Phoenix at the Royal Rumble stands out:

3. Musical themes.

The theme song of The Great Khali is completely appropriate for the wrestler, as it is filled with national motifs of India and is set to the percussive rhythms of such traditional instruments as mridanga, jaltarang and dholak.

The name of the musical theme was also not taken out of thin air, because the province of Punjab is called the land of five rivers (literal translation) in India. Five water streams have the names Jhelum, Chenab, Ravi, Beas and Sutlej and are especially revered in Hinduism, which only adds status to the entire province and its inhabitants.

4. Techniques in the ring.

The Double Chokeslam performed by the Great Khali is called the Punjabi Plunge, which is again a reference to the Five Rivers, since a Punjabi Dive can only be a jump into the water, after which not every opponent will be able to surface.

Even an ordinary chop on a dirt cage, which is included in the set of basic techniques for any person who has been involved in wrestling, performed by an Indian is called the “Hand of God”, because in all known mythologies it is said about the right hand of God that punishes all infidels and sinners. Singh, apparently, was precisely such a messenger of Kali on Earth, destroying his opponents.

Not only did the giant defeat his opponents with crushing blows, for he also has in his weapons the painful “vice” technique, during which Kali flattened the opponent’s head as strongly as possible, forcing him to surrender from pain. This gesture is another reference to the goddess Kali, who is one of the main goddesses in Shaktism, a branch of Hinduism that emphasizes the worship of the mother goddess. Just look at the Shaktism symbol to see the analogies with the wrestler’s “Vise”:

5. Legacy in WWE.

For the first time in the entire series of articles “Analysis of the image”, I included an item with a legacy here, because the Great Khali became the man who invented and held several matches in the “Punjabi prison” - an analogue of a steel cage, which is assembled from dried bamboo stems - both light and incredibly durable material of plant origin. Moreover, this exclusive right to these types of matches was given to Jinder Mahal during his tenure as WWE Champion. It is highly symbolic that at the end of the match between Mahal and Randy Orton, The Great Khali made his return, recalling someone who contributed to WWE history.

The image of the Indian giant is woven from his external dimensions, national features and references to mythology, which added to the fog of mystery surrounding the Great Khali throughout his career. Of course, the last years of jobbering in the federation were not particularly memorable, but no one will erase the world heavyweight championship and feuds with top opponents from his wrestling life. Now the Great Khali is promoting wrestling in India, acting in films and is an idol for millions of boys who saw his achievements in WWE. Love wrestling as an art and as a sport. Until next time.

PS If you want to see an analysis of the image of your favorite wrestler, then write in the comments who to go through next time.

Kali - Mahakali

“The Great Goddess is the energy of the world, as well as its will, and she is always active, like a force set in motion; she is in the world according to its nature.”

"Yoga Vasishtha"

Mahakali (Sanskrit: हाकाली, Mahākālī - 'Great Kali') is the highest form of Brahman and one of the three main forms of the Mother Goddess - Maha-Devi, the other two forms of which are Mahalakshmi and Mahasaraswati. She is a powerful cosmic aspect and represents the guna of tamas

. In the form of Mahakali, the Great Goddess represents the cyclical aspect of existence and maintains cosmic order. Mahakali is depicted with ten heads and arms. Each of her ten hands contains an attribute of one of the devas, personifying his power. Here it is implied that Mahakali is responsible for all the forces that these deities are, that is, Mahakali contains all the forces of the Universe.

Everything was created from primordial darkness, and the dark appearance of Kali personifies this darkness, which gave birth to the whole world. Maha Kali is also revered as the guardian of nature, a loving and kind Mother Goddess. Millions of people revere her in this aspect - as Kali Ma, that is, the Supreme Mother Kali.

How Kali Muscle trains now

Kali prefers a variety of training: a combination of hard training in the gym, outdoor exercise on the horizontal bar, swimming, cardio training, running, and cycling. However, the main principle of his training is high repetitions. Kali insists in all her videos that you need to do a lot of reps in your sets, just like Ronnie Coleman did. Kali says she doesn't smoke now and leads a healthy lifestyle. This gives him strength and energy.

Depiction and symbolism of the goddess Kali

“Goddess Kali dances around, armed with an ax and other formidable weapons, dressed in wreaths of flowers.” “She is depicted with a flame on her head and with a dry and withered body - as a symbol of her withering (destructive) rage.”

"Yoga Vasishtha" (Book VII, Chapter LXXXIV)

There are many different images of different forms of Kali. The most common forms of Kali are with either four or ten arms. In these forms she appears as black in color, but is most often depicted as blue. Her eyes are red with rage and anger. Her hair is disheveled and her red tongue hangs out of her mouth. Kali is also often depicted with a belt made of human hands and a garland of human heads. She is accompanied by snakes and jackals, drinking blood from the head of the demon Raktabija, which Kali holds in her hand. Classical images of the goddess Kali are characterized by common features: in one of her hands she holds a sickle-shaped sword, in the other a trident, in the third a severed head of a demon and in the fourth a bowl.

With ten arms she appears in the form of Mahakali

, in which in different variations of images she holds: a saber, a sword, a trident, a demon’s head, a bowl, a conch shell, a bow, an arrow, a Sudarshana chakra, a bowl with a fiery flame, a rod, a sword, a lasso. She has ten faces and three eyes on each head.

The Kalika Purana describes Kali as having a dark complexion, riding a lion, with four hands in which she holds a sword and blue lotuses. She shines with beauty and eternal youth.

Sword

symbolizes divine knowledge, which cuts the shackles of ignorance and cuts off the fetters of selfishness.
The head of the demon
represents the Ego, which must be defeated by true knowledge.
The red color of her tongue, like a scarlet hibiscus2, symbolizes the dynamic Nature of Life, the guna rajas, action, movement, activity. A garland of skulls of demons
she defeated in battle, in which she acts as a force of righteous anger that destroys evil, is, according to one version, a figurative reference to the 50 letters of the Sanskrit alphabet, which symbolize the many-sided manifested Universe, where sound and speech personify material form , duality of perception. They make up the Universe, which Kali absorbs into herself at the end of time, dissolving them, and Creation disappears into her.

Another version suggests that the heads symbolize reincarnations through which the Spirit (Consciousness) passes. Belt from hands

figuratively indicates that each person has many attachments to the world of forms or karmic consequences of each of his lives.
Three eyes
can mean time: past, present and future; but can also be a symbolic indication that Kali controls Time in all three cycles of existence: Creation, Preservation and Destruction.

In some images, one of Kali's hands is folded in a gesture of fearlessness (abhaya mudra), and the other in a gesture of blessing (varada mudra). These gestures mean that Goddess Kali will always protect and relieve fear, blessing you for victory over your conditioned perception.

Kali Oil - the whole truth about taking steroids: chemist or not?

Cali Oil, admit what you are on, what you are injecting, lay out your course, come on, we are waiting, we know that you are on a farm, on steroids? I'm tired of all these letters and messages on Instagram and Facebook. Everyone asks me, what am I sitting on? Haters say I'm a liar and making a joke of the fitness world. Every time I hear about someone taking steroids, I think of the white guy in prison who was on them. I then asked what is this? It's to be big, and I tell him, man, I'm already the heaviest in New York, and they were 22 bucks apiece. I didn't need to take them, I was already so bloated. Ladies and gentlemen, stop guessing, I don't take steroids, and I tell them no.

In 1997, his gym was taken away from him, which prompted discontent among the imprisoned boys. But Kali still continued to train, squatting with prisoners on his shoulders, doing push-ups with them on his back, adapting elastic bands, pieces of iron, horizontal bars, everything that helped him do bodybuilding and pump up his body to its full potential.

Kali: origins and legends

There are various legends in the scriptures that describe the appearance of the goddess Kali. According to one of them, Kali emerges from Vishnu, revealing her formidable image for the forces of evil and protection for the light forces of the Universe. In another legend, she appears from the forehead of the goddess Durga, appearing as a force designed to crush demonic manifestations. Here she personifies Durga's anger, her rage embodied. The demons that Kali kills symbolize the consequences of false self-identification, attachment, illusory perception and such manifestations of the false Ego as vanity, pride, greed, selfishness, envy, etc.

Kali as Yoga Nidra, protective power of Vishnu

The first mention of the goddess Kali is in the Devi Mahatmya. Here she appears as Mahakali, emerging from the body of the sleeping Vishnu in the form of the goddess Yoga Nidra, with the goal of waking him up and granting protection to the world from two demons: Madhu (the personification of flattery, seduction and pretense) and Kaitabha (the image of deceit, cunning and guile). Upon awakening, Vishnu entered into battle with two demons, but could not defeat them, then Kali, taking the form of Maha-Maya, enchanted them, thanks to which this time Vishnu easily defeated these two manifestations of demonic forces.

Kali - born of Durga's wrath

Devi-Maha, Canto LXXXVII) tells how two demons Chanda (the manifestation of malice) and Munda (the personification of stupidity) attack the goddess Durga, who in anger takes the form of Kali: her face becomes dark in color, and the goddess Kali emerges from her forehead . Kali, who filled the entire space around with a terrifying roar, appears in a terrifying image:

“Kali with a terrible face of a dark blue color, armed with a sword and a noose, carrying a multi-colored staff with a skull on top, wearing a garland of skulls, she is dressed in tiger skin, emaciated, with a wide open mouth with a protruding tongue, with deeply sunken reddish eyes.” .

Markandeya Purana, canto LXXXVII

She fights two demons and their entire mighty army. After which the demon Raktabija ('Blood Seed'), invincible thanks to the ability to reproduce from every drop of his blood that fell to the ground, was killed by Kali. The goddess struck down Raktabija with her javelin, thunder arrow, swords and spears, and absorbed his blood before it reached the ground, then destroyed all the doubles he generated.

“From Ambika’s fiercely frowning forehead, Kali suddenly appeared with a terrible face, armed with a sword and a noose. She swiftly attacked the demons and devoured these hordes of the enemies of the devas.”

Markandeya Purana, canto LXXXVIII

Image of Durga

Kali is the offspring of Shiva

Other origin stories of Kali (Linga Purana) involve Parvati and Shiva. Parvati is a merciful and benevolent goddess, but when Shiva asks her to defeat the demon Daruka, who had the blessing of being killed only at the hands of a woman, Parvati merges with Shiva's body and manifests as Kali, who mercilessly crushes demons.

Shiva and Kali

“The first cause of everything was the divine power of Will that sought to assume some manifest form of Nature.”

"Yoga Vasishtha"

Kali is most often seen as Shiva's Shakti. In the legends where Kali kills demons, her anger gets out of control, but only Shiva can calm her down. They are two polarities and at the same time a single indivisible whole.

The most famous image of Kali is where she stands (or dances) on her consort, the god Shiva. Let's consider what symbolism is hidden in this image and what meaning it carries.

  • According to one version, when Kali is depicted with her foot trampling Shiva, who lies lifeless on the ground, in this image she represents the force that destroys Life. Shiva here symbolically appears as non-existence, in which there are no forces of life. Kali takes them into eternity and unmanifestation. From this moment begins Pralaya, or the period of the Great Dissolution of the world, in which there is nothing but the power of destruction - the power of Kali.
  • Also, the white body of Shiva (as emitting the light of pure Consciousness) is an image of the transcendental state of Consciousness. It is motionless because it is not subject to change. He is the unchanging aspect of the Supreme. Shiva is Purusha, and Kali is Prakriti, Nature itself, energy. While Kali is the driving force of Time, being the changing aspect of the Supreme. Shiva in this case appears as Nirguna, who is outside the gunas, or qualities of Nature. And Kali appears as Saguna, that is, possessing all the qualities of material existence, but at the same time not subject to their influence.
  • Both Shiva and Kali together are one and the same. Without energy, Shiva cannot reside in manifest existence and fulfill his role in the evolutionary process of all living beings. Therefore, Shiva without his Shakti is simply a lifeless corpse, unable to act.

Shiva and Mahakali
As “Yoga Vasishtha” says (Book VII, Chapter LXXXIV “The Union of Shiva and Shakti”): like the wind and its gusts, fire and its heat and fiery flashes, like the Ocean and the waves, Shiva is Consciousness, and Shakti is vibrations causing changes in Consciousness.

"Shiva is completely calm without his will or desire, which is his feminine energy - Kali."

"Yoga Vasishtha"

Shiva is always the personification of formless emptiness and peace, Shakti-Kali manifests it in form and action, therefore she is depicted dancing - for her very essence is movement, active manifestation. Force always resides potentially in inertia. So Shakti Kali is the power of Consciousness, always in action, in “dance”

. We see this dance of the Universe around us: planets rotate around their axis and in orbit around the central star, galaxies are always in rotation. Thus, Kali, as an energy that is always in motion, supports the existence of the entire Universe.

“The movements of the dancing Kali (the creative energy of God) do not cause any vibration in the world that is contained within;
just as the shaking of a mirror does not cause any change in the reflection that is cast on it.” "Yoga Vasishtha"

Any material object is densified energy, that is, energy in motion. The greater the speed of movement of the particles that make up an object (the frequency of energy vibration), the finer and more ordered its structure. And vice versa, the lower the vibration frequency, the “rougher” the material substance. The frequency of vibrations indicates the degree of “development” of consciousness of a particular manifestation of Life in the material world.

Thanks to Shakti-Kali, this world became visible and tangible. She brings the Will of Shiva to life. Nature or the material world is cognized through the organs of perception, and the experience of this cognition contributes to our progress along the path of evolution. Kali is the essence of all transitory phenomena of this world, carrying them into eternity.

“Yoga Vasishtha” (Book VII, Chapter LXXXV “The Relationship of Nature and Soul”) reveals the meaning of the symbolic union of Shiva and Shakti in dance as an image of the indestructible eternal union of Shiva and Shakti - Consciousness and Energy (Nature). A Ray of Consciousness (attention) directed at an object creates a vibration of energy in it, but when attention dries up, the object returns to its original state of potential existence. This is the continuous process of creating matter from energy and back - the transformation of matter into energy, which could not be realized without the participation of Consciousness. Their union is the basis of the existence of the entire Universe.

Goddess Kali: the destructive aspect of Time

The changeable "temper" of Kali is manifested in the nature of Time. Kali represents the changing aspect of Nature that leads to life or death. Kali is the embodiment of Time or the “Highest Night” in which everything that exists dissolves.

In the Mahanirvana Tantra, Kali is an epithet of the primordial Shakti. Shiva himself praises her as the Great Primordial Kalika, absorbing Mahakala himself (an epithet of Shiva meaning 'Majestic Power of Time' or 'Supreme Ruler of Time') at the end of time during the destruction of the Universe. For she, being the Source and original form (Adya) of all things, including being the First Cause of Time (Kala), absorbs it too, absorbing it into herself. He calls her inexpressible and incomprehensible, for she, returning to her form (Svarupa), merges with the primordial darkness, unmanifested and formless. She is the beginning of everything, the protection of everything and she is the end of everything.

The destructive aspect is inherent in Mother Nature itself and it manifests itself as the force of Time. Nothing exists forever in the material world - everything once created is doomed to destruction.

This power of Kali (Time) resides in matter itself. Everything in this world is subject to the processes of aging and dying. Creation is a process of ordering, organizing form and organic life, while Destruction is a return to disorder (chaos). Kali facilitates these cyclical processes through which life is reborn again and again. For in the Universe nothing dies, the form of manifestation simply changes

.

This is how the destructive power of Kali manifests itself: any material object in our world represents energy in motion. This energy fills the whole world. She is Mother Nature, Matter, manifested being, existing in time and space. Outside of time, everything that exists simply ceases to exist. Matter exists according to the laws of time. And time manifests itself only in movement. All forms of matter change every second. Nothing stands still, everything is subject to change. Wherever the aspect of time manifests itself, destruction takes place, therefore the nature of the entire material world is transitory and not eternal.

The power of Kali is akin to the action of a black hole in space, sucking in everything that comes close to it. As is known, matter is formed from energy on the outskirts of the galaxy, but closer to the center it becomes denser, after which it is pulled into itself by the black hole, which is located in the center, in order to be converted into energy again. Kali, as pre-matter, from which primary matter appears, takes it back at the end of the cycle of existence. This is the eternal law of Nature and Time. Everything is in constant motion and in a process of change and transformation, which is supported by Mother Nature.

The action of the power of Kali as the Lady of Tamoguna can be observed in the processes of aging and fading of vital forces in us and other living beings. The cyclical nature of existence in organic life within a single incarnation is a reflection at the microcosm level of all processes occurring in the Universe, which is also born, exists and dies. Thus, one can clearly compare the periods of a person’s life and the eras of the existence of the world during one Maha-yuga3.

The “morning” of human life or childhood is identical in sattvic (pure) manifestations of the energy of Satya Yuga (or Krita Yuga), which gives rise to the whole cycle of life of the Universe. Next comes the “daytime” time or youth in a person’s life; it corresponds to the sattvic-rajasic, active energies of Treta Yuga. The “evening” period of life or the time of human maturity is similar in energy (rajasic-tamasic manifestations) to the era of Dvapara Yuga. And finally, the fading of vitality or, figuratively speaking, the “night” of human life, that is, old age, is akin to the dark time of Kali Yuga with its characteristic tamasic, passive energies. We see that the processes occurring during the day (morning, day, evening, night), year (change of seasons: spring, summer, autumn and winter) are also influenced by the gunas of Nature. Sattvic time begins in the morning at sunrise and lasts for another three dawn hours. Rajas gains strength during the day and lasts until evening twilight. The influence of tamas continues after sunset and all night until morning twilight.

Image of Mahakali. Author of the painting: VV Sapar

The dawn of sattvic energies always appears at the beginning of any time cycle, when everything around awakens and is filled with vitality, and the decline of life is always accompanied by tamasic manifestations of decline and decay. Sattva is always expansion, unfolding and light, rajas is balance, and Tamas, ruled by the goddess Kali, is contraction, folding, darkness. That is why she is called the “Time Consumer.”

The abundance and lack of light is also associated with the change of seasons, which, by the way, occur differently in different parts of our planet. That is, the seasons of the year in the northern and southern hemispheres are always directly opposite to each other: when it is summer in the northern part of the Earth, it is winter in the southern part and vice versa. But everywhere and always there is one order, depending on the ratio of light and darkness: where there is more Sun and light, there is sattva filling (spring, summer); accordingly, the less sunlight, the more tamas (autumn, winter). Rajas, as the guna of balance, acts during the equinoxes, when the day is equal in length to the night.

By the way, the day of the winter solstice, which is the day of veneration of the god Kolyada, the ruler of time, completing the annual circle and launching Kolo of time into a new round, can also be attributed to the goddess of time Kali. It is difficult not to notice in this case the identity of the root bases of the names of the gods: KOLYADA - KALI. Thus, summarizing all of the above, we can safely say that the goddess Kali, as the ruler of tamas, is the patroness of everything that is under the influence of this guna, respectively, Kali is the goddess of the night

, winter, old age and death, that is, any final (final) period of time. The era of Kali Yuga is not without reason named after the goddess Kali, since at this time her power (the power of Time) manifests itself most actively. The aspect of time and the guna of tamas intensify, time speeds up, and this is especially pronounced towards the end of the era.

Kali Yuga: Age of Kali

“If everything in the world goes contrary to the order established from above, this is a harbinger of death.”

"Mahabharata"

The grain of destructive energy increases its influence on life and everything that exists towards the end of time. By the way, this is precisely what is associated with the acceleration of time, which, by the way, has recently become too obvious. We are approaching the end of a whole cycle of existence, and the inexorable passage of time subtly tells us that the end of times is just around the corner...

Kali Yuga is named after Kali because destructive tendencies intensify during this period. Kali Yuga is considered the darkest time of Maha Yuga, after which Satya Yuga or the ascending cycle begins again. At the end of the last of the 1000 yugas that make up the Day of Brahma, the destruction of the worlds occurs.

This is how the main trends of this final era are described in the Mahabharata (Book III, Chapter 186): all people become deceitful; vows become superficial; Shudras live better than everyone else; The Vedas are forgotten; sinful and deceitful mlecchas become kings; Brahmins forget their Dharma, and also Kshatriyas and Vaishyas retreat from their duties; life is fleeting; Shudras are revered in society, and Brahmins are treated with disrespect; around there is debauchery and dishonor, greed and lust, lawlessness and apostasy; the exorbitant burden of tribute leads many to the path of fraud and theft; “people grow hair and nails for show”; “the life of one who is faithful to the Dharma is short,” for the most virtuous are persecuted in society; the righteous are poor, but the last sinners and wicked prosper, enriched by deceit.

Kali - Ego crusher

Time destroys everything, including the Ego. Kali is the divine energy of Mother Nature in her destructive form. But it destroys in order to revive through purification and transformation - thanks to it, the material form is renewed, which is called upon to serve Consciousness on the Path of evolutionary ascent.

For the Ego, the great deception of Life is that everything that it gave us in the beginning - what we love and what we are attached to, it will inevitably take away. The inexorable passage of time cannot be stopped.

Changes bring suffering to the Ego, but they are necessary in the world of manifested forms, the temporary and transient nature of which leads to the awareness of what is really true and what is illusory.

“Kali is fierce as the flames of the fire of destruction, fierce as the god of death on the battlefield.”

Shiva Purana, Rudra Samhita, Chapter 38

Kali is also the force that destroys evil in all its manifestations, which are selfish tendencies. Egoism manifests itself through false self-identification with the temporary personality into which the Spirit incarnates for one of its many births in the material world. When a person puts himself on the pedestal of life, looking down on others, then this manifestation crushes Kali, showing how transitory values, so important to the Ego, are destroyed by Time. She, like a caring mother, gives her children lessons, the importance of which we, as a rule, do not immediately realize, but only when their effect, beneficial for spiritual development, is fully manifested.

Kali laughs at those who, in the madness of vanity, hope to escape destruction and death by violently crushing all attachments to material existence. In stories about the battles of the goddess Kali, delusions and gross lower feelings appear in the form of demons that she destroys. They symbolically represent how she cuts through the knots of selfishness and false Ego with a sword.

Anthropometric data (parameters) Kali Oils

»

Weight - 115-120 kg.

» Height - 183 cm

» Age - 42 years

As a child, Kali Muscle was born into a not very prosperous family. However, the boy’s love for sports manifested itself from an early age. In his youth, he played football, baseball, loved to go to the gym, and in general took up all the sports that were available to him due to the lack of money from his parents, so he could send the guy to the sports club.

Kali Oil at 19

Given his determination and love for sports, Kali successfully entered the University of Fresno in California, and received a scholarship that was paid to American football players. It was American football that brought the guy money, recognition among his classmates and certain privileges. Throughout his first year, he confidently defended the colors of his university team in the first team.

What happened next, history is silent. Perhaps Kali stopped studying and started skipping classes, or stopped playing football well, or lost his scholarship. After all, according to the big guy, there was nothing to eat in the 2nd year. After which, Kali went to the coach and asked what he should do next? The coach replied that it is necessary to take responsibility for your life.

What Kali Oil actually did was take his mentor’s words very literally and began to engage in robbery, theft, and other types of illegal activities. This behavior resonates strongly if we remember how Dorian Yates, while working at a factory, walked to the gym because there was no money for travel. Kali chose the easier path and indulged in robbery.

For which he paid with a prison term of 11 years. He was imprisoned at the age of 19, while still in college. But the love for bodybuilding did not disappear, and in San Quentin prison, where he served time, there was a gym. Kali Muscle immediately began lifting weights upon arrival and continued to build his figure. And they gained weight up to 110 kg by eating peanut butter, rolls, canned food, short bread and other edible things that were given to them. Kali also insists that he has never taken steroids

Yantra Kali

The Kali Yantra is a graphic representation of the energy of the goddess. The Kali Yantra carries very powerful energy of transformation. It is a red bhupur square with four gates on a black background, in which there is an eight-petalled lotus with a Shakti triangle, the apex pointing downwards, in the center.

The meaning of the Kali Yantra is as follows: it is believed that when wearing the Kali Yantra, it provides healing from chronic diseases, helps normalize blood pressure and get rid of nervous disorders. It provides protection from demonic forces that lead Consciousness into false identification. Protects against accidents and warns against dangers. The image of the yantra is usually applied on bronze, gold, silver or copper plates.
