How to stretch if you are doing strength training

We have all heard repeatedly about the benefits of stretching for health and figure. But not everyone knows that stretching exercises can speed up muscle growth. Read the article about when you need to stretch to increase muscle mass.

Muscle stretching (or “stretching”) is a set of physical exercises aimed at increasing the elasticity of any part of the body. These exercises are static and are performed without the use of additional weights.

Principle #1

Try to implement principle No. 1 into your training - do not stretch between sets of strength exercises.

If you really want to stretch tense muscles, then do stretching, shaking your limbs, light self-massage, but at the level of shallow techniques like stroking and patting.

The strength training is over and you begin to furiously stretch the muscles and muscle groups that you just trained. You also try to do complex stretching exercises - bridges, splits, leg swings, etc.

Now imagine - your body has just been mobilized for the heaviest power loads (you weren’t lifting 5 kg dumbbells?), the entire central nervous system was focused on power action, the muscular system is in very strong tone, the muscles shortened in length, since they contracted very strongly.

And after training, you begin to make sharply opposite movements - you try to stretch the compressed and tense muscles as much as possible.

The body contracts even more - it has just been subjected to severe training stress, and now it is again plunged into the abyss of tension, only now due to active stretching.

Tight muscles are difficult to stretch, but you, of course, force them to stretch, through gritted teeth, but still force them.

Are you overpowering your body, which falls into a slight stupor and does not understand what to do?

What should you focus on - strength or flexibility?

In the near future, studies will appear, translated into Russian, where all this will already be presented in scientific maxims, you know - muscle myofibrils, muscle fibers, mitochondria in cells...

In the meantime, I’m doing it in a simple, rustic way
