Michael was born into a large family, where he was the youngest, ninth child. His father was a professional bodybuilder and therefore it is not surprising that all of his children were involved in sports in one way or another. All of Michael's brothers and sisters were actively involved in bodybuilding, powerlifting and martial arts, but it was the youngest who was able to achieve the highest results in all of this.
Young Michael O'Hern began his path to success at the age of 15 with a competition called “Teenage Washington State Competitions.” There, the boy, already quite skilled in strength training and martial arts, surprised everyone by winning in three categories at once: bodybuilding, powerlifting and martial arts. The victories inspired the athlete so much that he began training almost all of his free time.
This is what Michael O'Hern looked like in his youth.
Despite the fact that most of his achievements are related specifically to bodybuilding, Michael also actively participated in powerlifting competitions, where he also showed excellent results. But it was in competitions where not strength, but the beauty of the body is assessed, that Michael O'Hern achieved such results that he was recognized as one of the 12 best athletes of all time.
Among his most significant titles are 4 victories at the Mr. Universe championship, as well as the Mr. America title. His enormous popularity and spectacular appearance made him popular in media culture. Michael has appeared on the covers of more than 500 magazines and has also appeared in numerous TV series and films. Now at 50 years old, he continues to train actively and will give a head start to many young athletes both in terms of strength and appearance.
Height and weight
Mike has incredibly lucky genetics, which he inherited from his father. This can be seen from the athlete’s youth photos, in which he looks quite dry and with impressive muscle volumes. The best competitive parameters of an athlete:
- Height - 191 cm;
- Competition weight - 113 kg;
- Weight in the off-season - 125 kg.
He retains his form even now, having stepped into the category of athletes 50+.

@joerogan voiceover “Life doesn't get easier, you just get stronger” ❌People say life gets easier with time, from my experience that's wrong. Life isn't easy… If you allow it to, it will tear you to pieces. But, if you approach with the correct mindset, it is the ultimate teacher. ✅Every time you get knocked down you get back up a little stronger… ✅A little wiser… ✅A little more resilient. Eventually, what caused you pain and suffering in the past, will no longer affect you in the future. And this is when something great happens… ❇️You become something bigger and much greater than you were before. What was once thought of as an obstacle becomes a sign of advancement and when this happens you become unstoppable and your true calling comes out.
