Interregional Public Organization Sports Club GTO


GTO standards are standards by which the level of physical development of a person is determined. GTO tests determine speed, strength, flexibility, and endurance. In total, the GTO complex includes 11 stages for different age categories of the population.

The abbreviation GTO stands for “ready for work and defense.” It came from the Soviet past, when great attention was paid to the physical development of the country's citizens. Since 2014, the GTO has been returned. The government has developed test standards for the All-Russian GTO Physical Culture and Sports Complex. The TRP 2020 standards have been prepared - a table of standards by level. TRP standards 2022 - the table of standards by stages contains the same requirements; no innovations or changes were introduced in 2022. There are 11 steps in total:

  • level 1-5 - for schoolchildren (standards are given separately for girls and boys);
  • level 6-11 - for men, by age category;
  • level 6-11 1 for women, by age category.

Required documents

Great, we have figured out what is included in the standards of the GTO degree - and now let’s discuss what documents will be required to participate in the program:

  1. Identity document – ​​passport or birth certificate (up to 14 years of age);
  2. Medical certificate in the appropriate form.

Rules for running at different distances

The standard is taken on a stadium track or any other flat surface without elevation changes and with a hard surface. The result is recorded with an accuracy of 0.1 s.

Running 30, 60 and 100 m

Sprinters at 30 m start from a high start, at 60 and 100 m – from a high or low start. The subjects go out onto the track in groups of 2-4 people.

If a participant is not ready to start 2 minutes after he is called to the distance, starts earlier than the “March” command, or during the run goes out of his lane, interfering with other subjects, he is removed from the race.

Running 1-3,000 m

Participants run from a high start. The total number of athletes for a distance of 1-2,000 m in one race should not exceed 15 people. At 3,000 m – no more than 20 people.

Subjects are prohibited from stepping on the edge line on the left side while running, as this may shorten the distance.

Shuttle run

Consists of three sections of 10 m each. The start and finish lines must be well marked. On the “March” command, the athlete runs the first 10 m, crosses the finish line with any part of the body, after which he runs two more segments and finishes.

During the start, it is prohibited to step on the starting line.

Mixed movement

It consists of running, turning into walking, in any sequence. The maximum number of participants at one start is 20 people. Each participant, depending on how they feel, independently chooses the ratio of running and walking segments, as well as the pace of movement.

Execution technique


This testing can be performed with or without a contact platform. Regardless of the type of exercise, remember how to breathe properly when doing push-ups.

Initial position:

  • take the emphasis while lying on a plane;
  • place your hands shoulder-width apart, hands facing forward;
  • elbows separated, but not more than 45 degrees;
  • shoulders, body and legs are lined up in a straight line;
  • the feet rest directly on the plane.

When bending your arms, you touch your chest to the surface of the floor or a low “contact platform”. Having straightened them, return to the starting position, fixate for half a second, then continue to perform flexions and extensions.

Why participate?
