  • refined sunflower oil – 30 ml;
  • butter – 30-40 g;

  • dry herbs (oregano, savory, basil, parsley, dill, thyme) - optional;
  • nutmeg, coriander, black and allspice, ground ginger - use what you like.

Step by step recipe:

  1. Rinse and dry thawed steaks. Pour flour into a clean plastic bag (you can mix it with breadcrumbs in equal proportions - this will make the crust tastier and the fish juicier), salt, spices and herbs. You can also take ready-made seasoning for fish dishes. Mix.

This is a classic Soviet cooking recipe. Marinated cod is good both immediately after cooking and after it has been in the refrigerator. The longer a dish sits, the richer and tastier it becomes.

  2. Pour half the oil into a thick frying pan and heat it over medium heat. Then place the prepared vegetables in the pan. Stirring constantly, fry for 3-5 minutes.
  3. Sprinkle black pepper into the roast. Whole peas can be crushed with the flat side of a knife. Add tomato paste, vinegar (lemon juice), salt and finely chopped dill to the vegetable marinade. Carefully pour in water and mix everything thoroughly. Close the lid and leave to simmer over low heat until done.

  4. Clean the cod from scales, gut the insides, and rinse thoroughly under running water. Cut the carcass into pieces 2-3 cm thick and roll in flour with added salt.
  5. Fry the fish in a hot frying pan with oil, turning over as a crispy crust forms. Transfer the fried cod to a plate, cool slightly and remove all the bones.

  6. Place half of the vegetable marinade on the bottom of the pan. Place the boneless cod pieces evenly on top. Cover with the rest of the spicy marinade.

  7. Cover the pan tightly with a lid and cook over low heat for 15-18 minutes. Turn off the gas without opening the lid and let the fish cool slightly, absorbing the marinade juice.

Ingredients

  • Fish fillet – 500 g
  • Potatoes - 4 pcs.
